electro-mechanical instrument
repairs, restorations, modifications
We repair broken electro-mechanical music and sound instruments and assist with restorations and modifications. We are organized as a registered 501c3 nonprofit.
Instruments are repaired at-cost, donations accepted if you can.
Maybe your instrument functions but not as well as it could.
We will work with you and provide estimated labor and component costs for restorations and modifications.
We can replace or upgrade knobs, jacks, screens, and internal components.
Billions of pounds of "obsolete" electronics are thrown away every year in the USA. Every year synthesizers, sequencers, and drum machines are trashed, dumped, and burned. This is not sustainable. Repair is often possible, with a knowledge of electronics. We are organized in order to share knowledge and resources, create opportunities to learn new skills, and conserve and maintain electronic instruments.
We work on many kinds of electronic instruments, including:
- Desktop synthesizers
- Eurorack and Kosmo modules
- MIDI and CV controllers
